The Court will firstly consider the welfare of any children. It will\u00a0then consider your &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>income, earning capacity, property<\/li>\n<li class=\"LegClearFix LegP3Container\"><span class=\"LegDS LegRHS LegP3Text\"><span class=\"LegAddition\">financial needs<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"LegClearFix LegP3Container\"><span class=\"LegDS LegRHS LegP3Text\"><span class=\"LegAddition\">standard of living\u00a0during marriage<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"LegClearFix LegP3Container\"><span id=\"section-25-2-d\" class=\"LegDS LegLHS LegP3No\"><span class=\"LegAddition\">ages and length of marriage\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"LegClearFix LegP3Container\">disabilities<\/li>\n<li class=\"LegClearFix LegP3Container\"><span id=\"section-25-2-f\" class=\"LegDS LegLHS LegP3No\"><span class=\"LegAddition\">contributions made\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"LegClearFix LegP3Container\"><span id=\"section-25-2-g\" class=\"LegDS LegLHS LegP3No\"><span class=\"LegAddition\">conduct if it would be<\/span><\/span><span class=\"LegDS LegRHS LegP3Text\"><span class=\"LegAddition\">\u00a0inequitable to disregard it<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the Court isn&#8217;t convinced it&#8217;s fair, or if the order is technically incorrect, they will\u00a0raise queries. These can mostly be dealt with by letter. Or to take turns\u00a0looking after\u00a0Rover, the beloved family pet. Or\u00a0to pay the mortgage on the family home.
