This week I&#8217;ll tell you what documents you need\u00a0so you can start collecting them together.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Why these documents are\u00a0necessary<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>They are\u00a0required by the Form E. If you don&#8217;t include them you will be\u00a0chased by the other side or ultimately ordered by the Court. So\u00a0you might as well get on with it now.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Properties<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>If you own or part own any properties &#8211; family home, holiday home, investment property &#8211; a valuation for each in the last six months is helpful. The more recent the better\u00a0otherwise you&#8217;re going to have to rely on a guess and if you&#8217;re way off, this could cause unnecessary delay and expense in your case<\/li>\n<li>A recent mortgage statement for each property<\/li>\n<li>Click this link\u00a0to the\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/search-property-information.service.gov.uk\/?_ga=2.139817523.10921527.1573224195-307850174.1569864621\" target=\"_blank\">Land Registry<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>for an online title summary\u00a0providing basic information about the property. For more detail, order documents\u00a0by following this link\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/get-information-about-property-and-land\/copies-of-deeds\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Land Registry<\/em><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Bank, building society and savings accounts<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Whether in your sole name or jointly with others &#8211; 12 months of statements for each.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Any other investments; eg shares, ISAs<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Last statement for each investment.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Life assurance policies\/endowment\u00a0policies<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Recent statement to show\u00a0surrender value.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Running\u00a0a business<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Last two years&#8217; accounts and<\/li>\n<li>evidence that supports your valuation of your business; eg a letter from your accountant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Pensions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Write to your pension provider and ask for the cash equivalent transfer value.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Employed<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Your last P60 together with<\/li>\n<li>wages slips for the last three months<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Self employed<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Last two tax assessments but if these aren&#8217;t available, a letter from your accountant<\/li>\n<li>If\u00a0the estimate for your net income for the next twelve months is significantly different from your net income from your last set of accounts, you&#8217;ll need to provide a\u00a0set of your management accounts for the current period to explain the difference<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Next\u00a0blog<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Got\u00a0all your documents together?
