You\u00a0may find yourself caught up in a whirlwind of emotions if you’re\u00a0contemplating divorce (or dissolution\u00a0in the case of civil partnership). But the practical side of things can be overwhelming if yours is an international divorce. Make sure you seek advice from an experienced international family lawyer<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

What is an international divorce?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If you or<\/em><\/strong> your ex were born in another country but now live in the UK,\u00a0or were\u00a0born\u00a0in the UK\u00a0but\u00a0now live in another country, yours is an international divorce. You may wish to issue proceedings in England and Wales\u00a0because you\u00a0believe you\u2019ll\u00a0receive a better financial settlement.
