They are reactive, overwhelmed, highly emotional \u2014 but active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As time passes, something shifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They become:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Indecisive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoidant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slow to provide information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resistant to further negotiation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tearful or disengaged in meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focused only on \u201cending it\u201d at any cost<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Fatigue can look like apathy, but it is rarely that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is depletion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nervous system has been on high alert for too long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How Divorce Fatigue Impacts the Legal Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From a legal perspective, fatigue can create very real complications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Delays in disclosure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Difficulty making informed financial decisions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased emotional responses to correspondence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poor settlement choices driven by exhaustion rather than strategy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A desire to \u201cjust agree\u201d to bring relief<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Clients may say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t even care anymore.\u201d<br>\u201cI just want it done.\u201d<br>\u201cI can\u2019t deal with another email.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not a lack of engagement.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is overwhelm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When fatigue sets in, cognitive clarity reduces. Executive functioning declines. Decision-making becomes short-term and emotionally driven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is where additional support becomes invaluable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Role of a Divorce Coach in Managing Fatigue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A divorce coach works alongside the legal team \u2014 not instead of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My role is not to give legal advice.<br>It is to stabilise the client emotionally so they can engage productively in the legal process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This can include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Emotional Regulation Support<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Helping clients manage anxiety before and after solicitor meetings so they can absorb information clearly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Structured Decision Preparation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Working through options in advance of legal appointments so clients arrive focused and prepared rather than overwhelmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reducing Reactive Communication<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Supporting clients in responding calmly to correspondence, preventing escalation that can prolong proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Maintaining Long-Term Perspective<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Helping clients reconnect with their broader goals \u2014 financial security, co-parenting stability, future independence \u2014 rather than short-term relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Accountability &amp;
